Business development

Merchandise Design, Illustration, Branding and Creative Direction

Illustration of two raccoons near a green dumpster with graffiti, one holding an orange skateboard. Trash bag, spray paint can, and coffee cup are nearby.

The Method: Skateboards & Coffee aims to create a multi-functional space that blends the vibrant culture of skateboarding with a welcoming coffeehouse atmosphere. The design reflects the energy of the local skateboarding community while promoting a cozy environment for coffee enthusiasts.

Showcase seasonal coffee selections alongside skateboard brands, providing a cohesive shopping experience. Utilize clear signage with playful graphics to inform customers of specials, upcoming events, or community skate contests.

This design direction seeks to foster a strong sense of community while celebrating the intersection of coffee culture and skateboarding. The Method will not only be a place to grab a beverage but a lively hub for creativity, connection, and expression in Tacoma, Washington.

TACOMA, WASHINGTON

It was our clear goal and aim to thoughtfully design a welcoming and inviting brand that could effectively host a variety of engaging local events such as coffee tastings, skateboarding competitions, and captivating art shows featuring the incredible work of local artists. This initiative would not only showcase the vibrant and positive aspects of Tacoma’s community but also promote various local happenings and initiatives that contribute to the enrichment of the city.
